Business Planning

With most funding applications a Business Plan will be required. This details the business history, performance, management team and projections for the future up to three years from date of preparation. It is often important to incorporate Company Structure, Current Contracts, Business Strategy, Cost Control and Management Systems, Service Delivery, Services, Market and Competition, along with Sales Strategy. Preparation of the business budget demonstrates anticipated sales, cost of sales, gross profit and percentage margins along with overheads, ultimately identifying net profit. From this budget and existing management figures the cash flow is prepared, identifying if any funding requirement is necessary. Once the budgets and cash flows have been agreed, funding, if necessary, can be sought and management systems implemented to ensure actual management accounts are compared with those budgeted.
