Many people have the desire to ‘Start their own Business,’ yet this desire never reaches beyond the thought. Some people may have the product/service but lack the commercial expertise to bring it to the market; some people simply need the confidence of a reliable, experienced businessman to provide reassurance to get started. The idea behind the Business Angel Start Up seminar is to initially identify the statutory obligations of Directors/Managers so prospective entrepreneurs know exactly how they must conduct themselves, but then move on to how to market, how to prepare business plans, budgets, cash flows and source funding. We then set out to detail how to turn the idea into a realistic commercial venture. It will be stressed that running your own business is hard work and requires total commitment, it is right to identify that there are those who should never entertain the idea of running their own business and whilst the seminar is a positive vehicle designed to enthuse certain individuals to move forward, it is also designed to provide self questioning for those who may not be suited or need third party support to take an idea forward – there are many who have a brilliant idea but need help to benefit from the thought.
